The best trainers do much more than teach from a manual. They draw on experience, adapt to each learner, ask the right questions, and help people build confidence through practice.

Traditional training materials can explain what to do, but they rarely prepare learners for the decisions and judgement calls they'll face in the real world. Multiple-choice quizzes measure what someone remembers, not how they respond when it matters.

At en2.ai, we believe AI creates an opportunity to rethink how learning is designed. By combining subject matter expertise with AI-powered competency-based roleplays, we can help learners practise realistic situations, receive personalised feedback, and build real capability through experience.

About en2.ai

en2.ai is an AI research and product lab building new ways for people to learn, practise, and build skills. We believe learning is most effective when it is practical and grounded in real-world situations, and we work with educators, trainers, and domain experts to transform knowledge into engaging learning experiences that can reach learners at scale.

About Flycatcher

Flycatcher is our AI-powered learning design platform. It helps trainers transform manuals, presentations, voice notes, and years of experience into interactive learning experiences.

Using Flycatcher, trainers can design realistic scenarios, create AI characters, build competency-based roleplays, and rapidly develop learning experiences that can be adapted across different roles, languages, and contexts.

About the Learning Design Lab

The Learning Design Lab is a four-week collaborative pilot for a small founding cohort of experienced trainers, educators, and subject matter experts.

Rather than simply learning a new platform, participants will work directly with the en2 team to explore how AI can transform learning design. Together, we will create roleplays, experiment with new approaches, and shape the future of AI-powered capacity building.

Your ideas, feedback, and experience will directly influence both the product and the way we design AI-powered learning experiences.

Who should apply?

  • Trainers and facilitators
  • Instructional and learning designers
  • Teachers and higher education faculty
  • Corporate L&D professionals
  • Subject matter experts who build or deliver training
  • Anyone designing learning experiences where practice and decision-making matter

Programme at a glance

Duration: 4 weeks

Format: Weekly, hands-on sessions (remote-friendly)

Time commitment: Approximately 3 to 5 hours per week

Support: Direct access to the en2.ai team throughout the programme

What you'll create

By the end of the programme, you'll have created a portfolio of competency-based AI roleplays based on your own expertise. These roleplays will help learners practise real-world situations, receive immediate coaching, and build confidence through experience.

You'll also contribute to a growing library of high-quality learning experiences and help define best practices for AI-powered roleplay design.

What you'll do

  • Learn how to design AI-powered roleplays using Flycatcher
  • Turn your expertise into authentic, real-world learning scenarios
  • Design conversations, characters, and branching roleplays
  • Test and refine roleplays with fellow participants and the en2 team
  • Share feedback that helps improve Flycatcher and future learning experiences

Join the first cohort

We're looking for a small cohort of experienced trainers, educators, instructional designers, and subject matter experts who are excited to explore what AI-native learning can become.

If you have deep expertise in your field and want to help shape the next generation of AI-powered learning, we'd love to hear from you.

To express your interest or learn more, email nikhil@en2.ai or hello@en2.ai with a brief introduction about yourself, your area of expertise, and the kinds of learners you work with. We will review applications on a rolling basis until the cohort is full.

We believe that the future of learning won't be built by AI alone, but by experienced educators, trainers, and practitioners who understand how people really learn.

We hope you'll be one of them.
